Ingredients
- 200 gramspaneer
firm, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoonsvegetable oil
- 1 mediumonion
thinly sliced
- 1 mediumbell pepper
thinly sliced, any color
- 1 mediumtomato
chopped
- 1 teaspoongaram masala
- 0 Β½ teaspoonred chili powder
- 0 ΒΌ teaspoonturmeric powder
- 0 Β½ teaspooncumin powder
- 1 teaspoonginger garlic paste
- 0 ΒΎ teaspoonsalt
- 0 ΒΌ teaspoonblack pepper
- 2 tablespoonsfresh coriander leaves
chopped
- 100 gramslow-fat yogurt
- 1 tablespoonfresh mint leaves
chopped
- 1 teaspoonlemon juice
- 2 piecestortilla wraps
medium size, whole wheat preferred
- 4 pieceslettuce leaves
washed and dried
Instructions
Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Add sliced onions and bell peppers. SautΓ© for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they soften.
Sprinkle garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Add paneer strips and gently toss to coat with the masala mixture. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until paneer is heated through and lightly browned.
In a small bowl, combine yogurt, chopped mint leaves, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth to make the yogurt-mint sauce.
Warm the tortilla wraps in a dry pan or microwave for 20 seconds to make them pliable.
Spread a tablespoon of the yogurt-mint sauce on each tortilla.
Place lettuce leaves on the sauce, then spoon the masala paneer mixture over the lettuce.
Sprinkle fresh coriander leaves over the filling.
Roll the tortillas tightly to form wraps. Slice in half if desired and serve immediately.
