Ingredients

  • 1 ½ litersapple cider

    fresh, unfiltered if possible

  • 3 piecescinnamon sticks
  • 6 pieceswhole cloves
  • 8 piecesallspice berries
  • 25 gramsfresh ginger

    peeled and thinly sliced

  • 1 pieceorange

    zested and juiced

  • 2 tablespoonsbrown sugar

    adjust to taste

  • 1 piecestar anise
  • 250 milliliterswater
