Instructions
Start by spreading a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
Spread about 1 teaspoon of green chutney evenly over the buttered side of four bread slices.
On each chutney-spread slice, arrange a layer of thinly sliced boiled potato, followed by cucumber, tomato, onion, and beetroot if using.
Sprinkle chaat masala, black salt, black pepper, chopped coriander leaves, and a few drops of lemon juice evenly across the vegetables on each sandwich slice.
Top each prepared slice with a plain bread slice, butter side down, to form a sandwich.
Press the sandwich gently but firmly and cut into halves or quarters as preferred.
Optionally, toast the sandwich lightly on a grill or sandwich press for 2-3 minutes until golden brown before serving.
