Ingredients
- 250 gramspaneer (Indian cottage cheese)
crumbled
- 2 tablespoonsvegetable oil
- 1 teaspooncumin seeds
- 1 mediumonion
finely chopped
- 1 smallgreen chili
finely chopped, adjust to taste
- 1 inchginger
grated
- 2 mediumtomatoes
finely chopped
- 1 teaspoonturmeric powder
- 1 teaspoonred chili powder
- 1 teaspoongaram masala
- 0 ¾ teaspoonsalt
adjust to taste
- 2 tablespoonsfresh coriander leaves
chopped
- 1 teaspoonlemon juice

Instructions
Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add finely chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 4-5 minutes.
Add chopped green chili and grated ginger, sauté for another minute until fragrant.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and mushy, around 5-6 minutes.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add the crumbled paneer, stirring continuously to combine with the masala mixture.
Cook the mixture for 3-4 minutes on medium heat, stirring frequently to avoid sticking.
Sprinkle garam masala and chopped coriander leaves. Stir and cook for another minute.
Turn off the heat and optionally add lemon juice. Mix well.
Serve hot with roti, paratha, or bread.
